What a gem of a place! My friends and I stumbled upon this pub during a weekend getaway, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the friendly vibe hit us. We settled in for a round of drinks and decided to share a few platters. The charcuterie board was a highlight, beautifully presented and filled with a delightful variety of meats and cheeses. The staff were genuinely enthusiastic about their recommendations, which made choosing our drinks much easier. I really appreciated the knowledge they had about the different ales and ciders; their passion is contagious! My only suggestion would be to improve the seating arrangements a bit as it felt a tad cramped during peak hours. Still, the lively energy of the place made up for it. We had an absolute blast and are already planning our return visit to try out their Sunday roast. Definitely worth checking out!

I had a fantastic evening at this lovely pub last weekend! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere was apparent. The decor has a charming, rustic feel that makes you want to settle in for a long night. I was particularly impressed by their cocktail menu; I tried the elderflower spritz, and it was refreshing and delicious! The bartenders clearly know their stuff and were happy to customise drinks based on my preferences. I also ordered the fish and chips, which were wonderfully flaky and perfectly battered. It’s evident they take pride in their food. The only minor thing I noticed was that the service was a bit slow at times, especially when it got busy, but to be fair, the staff were running around trying their best to keep everyone happy. It didn’t ruin my experience at all; I just enjoyed the company while we waited. Overall, this place is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and a lively atmosphere.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which really made the experience more enjoyable. I can't praise this establishment enough! It has everything you want from a pub experience—great food, an impressive drinks menu, and a really friendly vibe. I came here for a casual dinner with my family, and we were blown away by the variety on the menu. I had the steak pie, which was hearty and comforting, while my partner thoroughly enjoyed the vegan curry. It's also wonderful to see that they cater to different dietary needs so well. The kids were kept entertained with a small play area, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our meal. The service was attentive without being intrusive, which is a fine balance that many places fail to achieve. One minor point I would mention is that it can get quite loud during peak times, so if you're looking for a quiet dinner, it might be best to arrive early.
